This is a collection of short stories, including The Snow Goose. The stories are generally pretty good. There is of course some considerable overlap with Confessions of a Story Writer.

Other information
Editions for the Armed Services, Inc was a non-profit organization, which published books which were designed (I am told!) to fit into a G.I.'s pocket. This book is J290 in the series. Two other of Gallico's books were reprinted by this organization - Farewell to Sport and Adventures of Hiram Holliday.
