A cynical young man convinces a rich old woman that he knows where to find the secret of eternal life. They travel to Israel, and discover a few things about themselves.

I have been putting off reading this, as I didn’t fancy it much. My mistake! This one is one of Gallico's better books, in my opinion. It has a strongly religious theme running throughout it, but it never makes the mistake of preaching at you. Very moving.
