Review
In 1952, a working-class family decide to give up their annual holiday, and instead go to London to see the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth. This is the story of the disasters and triumphs of the day.

I love this book - it is my favourite Paul Gallico, and probably in my top five favourite books of all time. The characters are completely believable, and the story is wonderfully written. It's an absolute gem.
